I don’t look like what I’ve been through
But I am stronger than I appear
I have faced challenges, big and small
But I have learned to persevere
I have been knocked down, time and time again
But I have always found a way to stand
I have been broken, but I have been mended
And I am grateful for the strength that I have gained
I don’t look like what I’ve been through
But I am more than the scars that I bear
I have a resilience, deep within my soul
That has helped me overcome every care
So I give thanks for all that I have been through
For the struggles that have made me who I am
I am grateful for the journey that has brought me here
And for the strength that I have to stand tall
I don’t look like what I’ve been through
But I am proud of all that I have overcome
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned
And for the strength that I have become
I don’t look like what I’ve been through,
But that doesn’t mean I’m not strong.
I’ve faced challenges and struggles,
But I’ve come out on the other side, where I belong.
I’ve been knocked down and beaten,
But I’ve always gotten back up.
I’ve been told I couldn’t do it,
But I proved them wrong, with God.
I don’t show the scars on the outside,
But they’re there, deep inside.
They remind me of where I’ve been,
But they don’t define who I am, that’s no lie.
So today, I give thanks,
For the strength and resilience I’ve found.
I may not look like what I’ve been through,
But I know I’m stronger for it, without a doubt.
