As part of the event, a number of North Alabama hip hop artists, including Codie G and GMANE, will participate in a Q & A hosted by Fletch of local radio station KIX96. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. The display’s intended purpose is to make visitors aware of hip hop’s place in Alabama, and highlight different Achievers from around the state, and includes pioneers, artists, producers, entrepreneurs, and ambassadors of the genre. “This showcase is a good introduction to people about Alabama’s hip hop talent. The genre has been around for decades now, and there’s a lot more here than people realize,” said Dixie Griffin, director. In addition to biographical information about the state’s achievers, there’s also an assortment of items that show off some of the work and collaborations done by Alabama artists. “The Huntsville and Florence Hip Hop scene has been extremely proactive with this project. I think all the credit is due to them, specifically Codie G and GMane. We’ve tried to fit as much as we can into this space,” said John Moseley, curator. This will be a permanent display, and will be viewable with normal admission to the museum. For more information, contact the Alabama Music Hall of Fame at (256) 381-4417 / (404) 913-2775

The ‘cain’ in my name was given to me by street hustlers, because the music I produced was considered ‘dope’ thereby created an addiction to my sound and my production was very expensive at the height of my career i.e.’Giggiddy Bang’, etc-so instead of slanging ‘dope’ i made a living slanging a piece of my talent, which at the time was music. I now promote empowerment through talent and the arts as a solution and an escape from poverty and ignorance.Discography/ ClientsCano – Cain® has produced/ worked with the following 6TreG, Beanie Seigal, 2Pac, Amaru Records, Juvenile, Yung JocJamie Foxx,  Sean Paul “Youngbloodz“, Bohagon, B.G from the HotBoys/Cashmoney, “U know my Kind” Mr. Magic from (I Smoke I Drank) (paste this site in your browser for review, www.rapreviews.com/archive/2004_12_bodyhead.html) , Roy Jones, Jr., (Boxer) Bodyhead Ent., K-Digga,Young Buck(G-Unit) Southern Gz L.O.C., Lil Aut, Fiend “Break U Down”, Chae Stephen, Young Bleed “Til The Sun Go Down & “Gangsta Walk” Skull Duggrey “Iga Iga” 3rd Ward Stepper (half album), Wild Party Girls DVD 2004-5, Da Real Choppa, Cano – Cain® has produced R.O.A (Reality Of Alabama)-G 4 Life & Ready For Anything (both full albums) Mr. Bigg (Poppin’ My Collar) the new single “Wipe Me Down”, Blk & Myld “Love Hurts”, Lil’ Booh “Like Dat”(PlayaCon/ Dirty Thirty award recipient 2006) Lil’ Chappy “Like Dat”(PlayaCon/ Dirty Thirty award recipient 2006) Lyrisis (Dirty Thirty Single Of The Year) “Selfish” produced by Cano – Cain® copyright 2000), Birmingham J “Magic City” & “$1000 Spot”, Tela, Might Mike Dawgman Ent Lavahouse Entertainment, Capone – N – Noreaga “Blowin Up Like You Thought I Would” Gotti from Cash Money, Kane & Abel, Bet Comic View (2002) DJ Chris Coleman, Isis M.
