Focus On Goodness

My ultimate goal, the thing I’m troubleshooting for, the reason I study, write, and push myself beyond limits, is to be chill, level headed, unworried and unbothered. Now, I know that may sound strange at first—unbothered? In a world full of noise, distractions, and challenges? Yes, unbothered. But I’m not talking about being indifferent to the world around me. I’m talking about having peace, no matter what storms are going on outside. I’m talking about the kind of peace that allows me to stay rooted, to stay centered, to focus on the things that matter.

Why am I doing all this studying, all this writing, all this searching? Because I know this: it’s my charge and a good heart is the foundation of everything that truly matters. It’s not about making it, the money and wealth, or even the recognition. At the end of the day, it’s about who you are when the curtains close and the lights go down. It’s about whether you’ve lived a life with goodness at the core of your being, and whether you’ve helped build a life filled with goodness for others.

I found myself asking, “How do I do that?” Well, I learned: It starts with focus. Focus on the pursuit of goodness. I’m not talking about perfection—because let’s face it, none of us are perfect. I’m talking about striving. I’m talking about working every day to be better than you were yesterday, to love deeper, to serve more, to be kind, to be honest, to be someone who, when others see you, they see something that uplifts them, not drags them down. This is my mission. 😃

I’m here to surround myself with as much goodness as possible. I’m talking about surrounding myself with people who want to see me grow, with people who want to build peace in this world. Not just talk about it, but actively create it. You see, negativity and misinformation, it’s like poison. It seeps into your mind, into your heart, and it clouds your vision. It’s like walking through a fog—you can’t see clearly, you don’t know where you’re headed. And if you’re not careful, you’ll trip, you’ll fall, and you’ll get stuck in that fog. But if you focus on goodness, it’s like the sun breaking through that fog, clearing the path, showing you the way.

And when I talk about building peace on earth, I’m not talking about some grand global mission. I’m talking about peace in the small moments. Peace in my home. Peace in my relationships. Peace in my heart. Because that’s where it starts. If you can’t find peace in your own life, how can you expect to find it anywhere else?

I’m preparing, y’all. Preparing for the hard times that come. Preparing for the ups and downs of life. You see, life isn’t about avoiding the storms. It’s about learning to dance in the rain. And that’s where sustainability comes in. It’s about building the foundation, brick by brick, that will stand strong no matter what comes your way. When the world around you is falling apart, you want to know you’ve got a peace that’s unwavering, something solid that you can stand on.

It’s like planting a tree. You don’t just plant it and expect it to grow overnight. You water it, you nurture it, you take care of it. And eventually, it grows strong, it grows tall. But even then, you have to protect it from the storms, from the harsh winds. That’s how I want to build my life—carefully, patiently, with focus on the good. It’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

So, why am I here today? Why am I doing all this? I’m doing it for my loved ones. I’m doing it for you. I’m doing it for the future, for the peace and goodness we can create together. And I’m doing it because I know, deep down, that when we focus on the right things, when we focus on goodness, the noise fades away, the distractions lose their power, and what we’re left with is something beautiful. Something pure. Something that lasts.

So let’s stay focused on that. Let’s build a life that, when we look back, we can say, “Yeah, I did my best. I worked hard to keep my heart right, to keep my mind focused, and to leave this world a little better than I found it.”
